Celebrating Our Community: A Photo Gallery of Empowerment and Support

    National Child Abuse Prevention Event

In profound recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, we, as Los Angeles, emphasize the critical importance of collective action in protecting our most vulnerable.

Today’s impactful event was thoughtfully organized by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Family Violence Complex Child Abuse Section, in collaboration with the LASD Special Victims Bureau, LAPD Juvenile Division, Parents of Murdered Children LA Chapter, and Deputy Attorney General Jonathan Hatami.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Community Advisory Council was honoured to attend, including
President Jamal Khawaja, Vice President Rachel Camacho,

and board members Brenda Medrano and Chris Lockwood.
Our team was proud to provide treats to the children and engage in meaningful

conversations with Deputy Attorney General Jonathan Hatami and

    Attorney General Nathan Hochman regarding

future collaborations to strengthen support systems and prevention efforts.

Together, we stand united in our commitment to safeguarding children

and building a safer, more compassionate community.

With Commander Johann Thrall, Commander Geoff Deedrick, Sergeant Reta,  President Jamal Khawaja, and Vice President Rachel Camacho at the table, the conversation focused on fresh ideas, deeper collaboration, and new opportunities to serve our communities.
